Massage Therapy for Seniors living at home, Charlottesville, Virginia

Plenty of therapists and organizations offer in-home visits for Seniors, especially after an incident of injury has occurred, as the Senior may have difficulty getting around or not be able to drive themselves to the therapy sessions. Touch for the Wise was created to bring Massage Therapy to them.

Through my own observance, as with my mother and grandmother, I understand some of the physical and mental exhaustion that may result from a family member taking on the role as the primary caretaker of their elderly relative. In order to relieve some of that stress, Touch for the Wise will also offer in-home massages for the caretaker.

*Note: Since I am the only therapist in my business and my intention for this business is to bring Massage Therapy to Seniors who can not make it out to a Day Spa, I reserve my in-home massage therapy to only those clients. If you are not a Senior and would like to book an in-home massage, there are plenty of therapists in our community you can reach out to.

If you are a Senior who feels that you would benefit from a skilled Geriatric Massage, and has reasonable mobility, and ability to travel, who would feel more comfortable receiving a massage in a Day Spa, you can find me a couple days/week at Paragon Day Spa, where I have worked here in Charlottesville, VA for the last 13 years.

Once we are in contact, prior to scheduling the Massage Therapy session, I may request an initial evaluation to meet with you, which could be set up as an in-home visit. This visit will be primarily to clarify any information I may need in order to prepare for the Massage Therapy session, such as completing the forms and to determine if I need to obtain a physician's authorization.
